The Commander Staunton full sized, weighted pieces play with authority—a solid durable choice that's meant to be used.  The quality of this set will be great for 98% of chess players, but it's not for those expecting a premium plastic finish or intended to be a collectable chess set. Every piece has visible mold lines and colored pieces are more susceptible to minor scuffing, but can be buffed out with some care.

The thin 1/16" Flex Pad, our best club board available, is digitally printed cloth top with an anti-slip rubber backing and can be both rolled and folded depending on the need, still laying flat when you are ready to play, even months later.  

Finally, the Deluxe Storage Bag pads and protects the set and even offers additional room for a chess clock and a book or two! You'll enjoy smooth zippers, and a quality feel to this inexpensive, yet truly convenient chess bag.
